The winning designs for the Kenilworth Station Project have been chosen after a four month project in which hundreds of Kenilworth schoolchildren in two categories (primary and secondary) designed posters showing what having a rail station in the town could mean for Kenilworth, its residents and the people who come to visit.
In all, 336 posters were received. The two winning designs were created by Alice from St John’s Primary School, Kenilworth and Lucy from Kenilworth School and Sixth Form. They were presented with an iPad Mini 2, first class rail tickets for a family of four.
Alice and Lucy’s posters will also be part of the new station’s interior design when it opens. Runner up designs will form a display on the hoardings, framed alongside the many other designs.
